Olive Oil - Popeye was no dummy!

Of all the food trends of the '80s, perhaps the most glorious has been the embrace of olive oil. It is not an isolated phenomenon. Rather, it has come along as part of a surging interest in simpler, cleaner-tasting food where the purity, freshness and sheer goodness of basic ingredients are the primary attractions of a dish.

Not surprisingly, Mediterranean cuisines, especially those of Provence in Southern France and Italy, are the vehicles for this expression.

The other great impetus for the incorporation of olive oil extracts in American life is our throbbing concern about health. But the real appeal of olive oil lies in its exquisite flavor. This is not to say that just because an oil is made from olives -- which is the only oil to my knowledge that is simply the juice of a fruit -- that it is automatically good. Olive trees, like grapevines, are exceedingly sensitive to site. Where the olives are grown, the variety of olive and how the olives are crushed to extract the oil makes the difference.

Olive Oil Extracts

Greek men have been known to have a 33 times less incidence of hear disease than their western counterparts. Why? The integration of olive oil in the Mediterranean diet. This equates to about 30 mg of olive oil extract or the equivalent of 3-6 oz of olive oil per day.

Following the Mediterranean diet would definitely increase our olive oil consumption even a strict Greek diet is not practical for us. Drinking 3-6 oz of olive oil per day well, don’t get me wrong I love olive oil but my love has limits. What we are after is the extract of the olive.

The company I recommend is the only company that manufactures an olive oil extract. This extract took 5 years to develop and patent. Guess what? It’s included in the multi-vitamin I recommend at 30mg per daily dosage of olive oil extract.

Please contact me for more information on the mega-antioxidant I recommend which includes the only pharmaceutical grade olive oil extract on the market today.
